ROBERT JOHNSON
King of the Delta Blues
Little Zion Baptist Church              Greenwood, Mississippi
ROBERT JOHNSON 's death was about as mysterious as his life and music. He has 3 different gravesites. All 3 are shown below but the one that seems the most likely had an eye witness. Rosie Eskridge recalls taking water to the burial site for the grave diggers that buried him under a  spreading pecan tree.
Robert  claims to have learned to play the guitar by making a deal with the devil at the crossroads. Rumor of his death was that he was poisoned by a jealous husband that slipped  him strychnine-laced  whiskey  while he was playing at a juke joint in Greenwood. He died 3 days later.

The Little Zion church site is the most likely gravesite. There was an eye witness to this site and this is where we both agreed that we felt his presence.
